Nail Polish Haul

So the other day after doing my nails, I realized that I needed to spice up my nail polish collection with some more polishes. A quick trip to the store later and I found myself with 9 new polishes to add to my collection.

These three are all by Rimmel London 60 Seconds. The colors are Red, Steady, Go- Breakfast in Bed- and Do Not Disturb.

This one is a Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Jazzy Jade.

 This is another Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Mighty Mango.

 These two are NYC Long Wearing In 142- Preppy Pink and 151 Skyline Blue.

This is a NYC In a New York Minute in Hamptons Peach.

And Lastly I picked up a Rimmel London Finishing Touch Ultra Shine Top Coat.

Now if you can't tell from the colors, I've been quite in love with pinky-coral colors and the mermaid type teal colors. So far I have only tried the NYC Hamptons Peach and the Rimmel London Finishing Touch Top Coat. I will be uploading the photos for that on my next Mani Monday. But I will tell you right now, I absolutely love the consistency and coverage of the NYC polish.

Mani Monday #5: Dark and Sexy

Nicole OPI: Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi and Black Nail Polish

This Post is make up for last Monday which I neglected to upload.

For this Mani I painted all but my accent nails with Nicole OPI's Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi. Because this polish is a sheen polish I did put down a base coat of white first before applying the red.

For the accent nail I applied just a basic black polish that I got for very cheap.

Where It is getting closer to Halloween, I am getting into more festiveness which is why I chose to do my nails these colors.

The Nicole OPI brand is a bit more expensive considering the quality of the polish. Most people talk highly about OPI brand, but I myself find that it's not THAT great of a polish. I find that it's thin and a bit runny. However, that is just my opinion and you don't have to feel the same as I do.

Mani Monday #4: Keep calm and SPARKLE

Sinful Colors: Cinderella and Out of This World and Pure Ice: Kiss Me Here

For this mani I was trying to go for simple and girly. I pained all but my accent nail with Pure Ice's Kiss Me Here and went over it with Sinful Color's Out of This World to add the sparkle that is already present in Cinderella. 

As I have said in previous Mani posts, both Pure Ice and Sinful Colors is more of a runny nail polish but for the price of roughly 2$ each, it's workable. 

This mani goes great with neutral colors such as white and grey or even light blue outfits. I happened to wear this with a mostly grey outfit.

Mani Of The Week 3 (MOTW) Down with the Pastels

Mani of the Week: Pure Ice- Home Run and Wet & Wild 402

For this Mani I was going for the Pastel spring/summer feel. The green mint color is produced from Pure Ice's Home Run. In just one coat, maybe two just for evenness, I was presented with this strong mint color. On my accent nails I painted Wet & Wild's 402, it's a bubble-gum pink. As well as the mint color, this polish only needed one coat and perhaps a second coat to have it look clean.

The only thing that is difficult is that Pure Ice is normally very runny so you have to be careful when applying.

This mani was a result of only 4$. Pure Ice generally sells for 1.97$ and Wet & Wild generally sells for 1.99 or you can sometimes catch a sale for buy one get one free.


Another note: I am thinking of changing MOTW's to ManiMonday. So prepare your self for Mondays!

Mani of the Week 2 (MOTW): Steel the Show by Spoiled

MOTW 2: Steel the Show by Spoiled

This week I am wearing Steel the Show by Spoiled. Spoiled is a brand sold only at CVS' stores and it has 80 some different shades. Spoiled brand nail varnish is only 1.99$ which is actually very nice given the quality and shades. I wanted to try Steel the Show because I thought it was going to be a nice steel grey color but, it's actually more of a taupe or muddy grey if anything.

This color would be good for a more professional nail or Fall shade. I myself think that I will be better off finding a grey of a different shade to appease me but I may wear it more often once I'm done college.

The formula of this varnish isn't too bad. It is my first time trying it and it's left a good impression so far.

Mani of the Week (MOTW): Sally Hansen Hard as Nails- 370 No Hard Feelings

Mani of the Week 1: 370 No Hard Feelings by Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails

This varnish is a lovely lilac shade with quite some shine, the perfect pastel for spring or Easter itself.

To make it even cuter you could add some pink or mint dots.

I find that with this varnish, you do need 2-3 layers for the even finish look.

This varnish is comparable to many varnishes such as ELF Lilac, OPI Do you Lilac it, or Zoya Malia.  This line goes for 2-3$ at most Walmarts, Walgreens, or Targets.

Mani of the Week Intro

Hello Lovelies,

From now on, every Thursday I will post a Mani of the Week featuring one or two varnishes.

I will include photos and names of the varnishes if you would like to purchase them yourselves.

I have about 100 varnishes already in my collection, but i'm not afraid to buy more haha.
